Sunshine applied to the Alberta Energy Resources Conservation Board (the “ERCB”) for regulatory approval to extract bitumen resources from its Oil Sands Leases in Legend Lake. This initial first phase Project will use Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (“SAGD”) technology and will result in a bitumen production capacity of up to 10,000 barrels per day. It is anticipated that the Legend Lake will ultimately be capable of producing approximately 50,000 barrels per day of bitumen as the second and third phases are completed.
